Do I need any experience?

One of the great things about martial arts is that it is accessible to people of all ages and experience levels. Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned athlete, there is a martial art that is right for you. Of course, if you have no experience, you may initially feel intimidated. But there is no need to worry. Our beginner classes will introduce you to the rules in a safe and welcoming manner.

Do I Need To Be Fit To Start?

We have classes for all skill levels and fitness types. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate or advanced practitioner - we'll make sure to keep your needs in mind during class! Our technique drilling sessions are coupled with rest rounds, so everyone has enough time to catch up on oxygen while still getting an intense workout without feeling too beaten down by it. If there's something about training at an intensity which isn't quite working out just how prefer, then let one of our coaches know because they can adjust certain aspects depending on what works best tailored towards YOUR specific wants/needs.

How Safe is Training?

One of our most popular classes is sparring. It's not compulsory, but it usually doesn't hurt to take advantage! We have very few injuries here at APEX MMA because people are always prepared and cautious when they come in contact with others during training sessions as they recognise them as teammates.

What do I need to Start?

In your first class, please wear a tight-fitting shirt and shorts with no zips or pockets. You will also need a water bottle, and towel and we will provide a loan of a Gi for trial classes.
